Wealdway Guide
The Wealdway is a long-distance
path pioneered by Kent and Sussex Ramblers in cooperation with Kent
and East Sussex County Councils. It is an exceptionally fine
walk running from Eastbourne on the south coast to Gravesend in the
north, passing through the South Downs, the High Weald, Ashdown Forest
and the North Downs.
The Wealdway Guide was published in
1999 and is now out of print. But we still have a few copies of
this lavishly illustrated guide available for £3.00 including
postage. The guide is in two parts - a 72 page Travel Guide
describing the geology, ecology and history of the terrain and a 50
page Walk Guide with large scale Ordnance Survey route maps and more
detailed descriptions of points of interest. This book really is
outstanding value.
