East Kent Walking Group 20s-40s is a group of the Ramblers Association; if you are not already a member then you would be expected to join after 3-4 walks with the East Kent Walking Group.  Full details of the Ramblers Association can be found on www.ramblers.org.uk and full details about Kent on www.kentramblers.org.uk.  If you are new to walking, or less experienced, then these sites also provide details about equipment and other essential matters.

We go out most weekends, and have begun to introduce some evening walks and are expanding the social programme.  We are in the 20s to 40s age bracket, a mixed group, singles and couples, very friendly and enthusiastic.  There are some ad hoc activities, such as badminton, dance classes, and theatre trips, and you can find out more about these by talking to the other members on the walks or through the periodic mailing updates.  Details of walks also appear in the press (the Whats On listing and a paragraph in the clubs sections of the Kent Messenger).  Walks, social events and running the group depend on volunteers - so there are lots of chances to become involved.

We usually communicate by email (saves time and costs) but it is useful to have your address/phone number in case we need to get in touch.  Come along for a walk and give us a try.  If you want to make sure there's a friendly face to meet you - give Claire a ring beforehand (01233 503266) or contact the walk leader (see Walks Programme for details).   Hope you can come on a walk soon!
