Meet in Trosley Country park (Pay & Display). A circular walk from Trosley Country Park along the North Downs Way and the Pilgrims Way. Then down to Cleggett's Farm and back via the Coldrum Long Barrow and Trosley Court. Views from the North Downs Way. View the Coldrum Stones which are the remains of a Neolithic chambered long barrow which held 22 bodies. There will be some stiles and some steep slopes. Bring picnic lunch.

Meet in car park in Upper Green Road opposite Shipbourne Church, off A227 at Shipbourne Common. A pleasant walk through woodland, farmland, in typical Kentish countryside via Four Wents, Hamptons and Roughway, Dunks Green. Occasionally it is possible to see Llamas in a field adjoining one of the footpaths. Pub at end with lunches available.

Park considerately in Boughton Street village or use the Village Hall parking which is up Bull Lane near the White Horse Inn and then right at sign and down lane (shorter walk back using footpath to village street). Meet outside the White Horse Inn. Walk goes through the village and up to Mount Ephraim. Footpaths to Staplestreet, Hernhill and Dargate. Return through Blean Wood (with possible detour to Holly Hill) to Boughton-under-Blean and walk back to start through village. See many listed buildings and old houses, Mount Ephraim. Bring snack for mid-way break.  Pub at end with meals available.

Walk has an early climb up Bluebell Hill where we can enjoy the view at our coffee break. We then descend to the river via Starkey's Castle and return along the river via Wouldham. Bredhurst            LINEAR (BUS-PASS) WALK

Bredhurst to Maidstone LINEAR BUS PASS WALK. Meet and park at the commuter Car Park just north of Bredhurst. This is mainly a DOWNHILL linear walk from Bredhurst to Maidstone. Some ascent to top of the North Downs before descending to Maidstone. Bring snack, plenty of pubs or cafes in Maidstone. Return using number 130 bus, times from Maidstone East Station; 13.08, 14.27, 15.45; journey time about 20 minutes. Do not forget your BUS PASS if you have one.

Otford                 NEW YEARS DAY WALK

A Family Cruise around the Solar System. Park and meet in the free car park opposite The Bull PH, in Otford. Parking may be possible in this car park, if not park in the station car park and walk back to the sports ground car park. Allow time to find parking. A walk around the village - a little out into the countryside - to find the planets. Otford has the largest scale model of our solar system in the world. Hopefully we will be joined by young budding astronauts or astronomers who will make sure that we visit the planets in the right order! The walk is flat and suitable for all-terrain buggies - not the small wheeled 'about-the-town' buggies. Pub at end.

Route is Sharsted Court, Sharsted Wood, Kingsdown Church, Great Higham and Doddington Place. An undulating walk through farmland, woodland and open countryside. One steep ascent at start. This walk is a little more challenging than the usual with multiple ascents as we meander along the North Downs in a figure of eight route to Detling and then back to Hollingbourne. Wateringbury         LINEAR (BUS PASS) WALK

LINEAR "BUS PASS" WALK ALONG THE MEDWAY: Meet promptly at Wateringbury public car park off Bow Road near the traffic lights at 9.40am to catch the 9.53am bus to Tonbridge. (Alternatively join the walk at Tonbridge town lock (GR TQ595464) at about 10.20am and then return to Tonbridge by bus at the end of the walk). Downhill all the way! Walk follows the Medway from Tonbridge through mainly open countryside, passing close to Hadlow and Yalding and ending at Wateringbury. Distance is approximate due to difficulty of measuring all bends in river. See river wildlife, some good views. If we walk at a reasonable pace the lunch stop will be close to Tea Pot Island and a picturesque riverside pub. Bring picnic lunch. Possible pub stop midway. Pub at end. Do not forget your BUS PASS if you have one.
