Our group started in 1979 and currently has 338
members. We average six walks each month, mostly in the Tonbridge and
Malling area, but occasionally further afield. Most of our walks are
circular, averaging six miles, we also do some short walks of about
three miles and some, for the more experienced, of about twelve miles.
We generally get about 15 to 20 walkers and dogs, under control, are
most welcome. We either have a snack or pub lunch at the half way point.
Recently we
have walked along the Regents Canal, had a full moon walk, short
weekday summer and evening walks ending at a flower festival, meeting
the Hartley Morris Men and a visit to the Yalding Organic Garden. The
group also took part in the National Elm Tree Survey.
We also support European car free days encouraging walkers to
leave their car at home if possible.
