Sunday 29 10.00 a.m. The Beachy Head Foreshore walk starts at Eastbourne. It is a spectacular walk. We will follow the empty beach under massive chalk cliffs until we reach Birling Gap and return over the cliff tops. It’s about 8 -10 miles of quite hard going over rocks and a pebble beach with a few hills on the way back. It’s worth the effort! It is only possible at low tide so please don’t try it on your own! Bring a packed lunch, plenty to drink and proper walking gear etc. Probable finish between 4- 5pm. Meet from 10.00am by St Bedes Prep School, GR600971 BN20 7XL, at the western end of the sea front.
