Ramblers Association

West Kent Walking and Outdoor Group

Summer Programme

From July to September 2008

Club rules are as follows:

IMPORTANT

Please make sure you give 4 days notice to the walk leaders when attending our walks and leave a contact number. Due to our success in increasing numbers, we have to book tables for pub lunches in advance. If you do not book a place then you may miss out! Please also let the organiser know if you have booked a place and can no longer go.

1. Please arrive for the walk earlier than the start time, so that the walk can start promptly as some walks have a tight schedule. Leaders will only allow 10 minutes extra for latecomers. Unfortunately we are unable to specify a finish time for our walks.

2. To enjoy the activities, please make sure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Bring plenty of water with you during the summer months.

3. The West Kent Walking and Outdoor Group cannot accept responsibility for loss or injury to participants.

4. Train travellers should check the train timetable to ensure they arrive before the start of the walk. The National Rail Enquiries number is 08457 484950.

5. Please note that we are unable to accept young people under the age of 18. It is also not possible to cater for walker’s dogs, so please do not bring them along on our walks.

6. Polite Request – Please do not telephone the leader before 8am or after 9pm, thank you. Also if you have booked in for an event and can no longer come, please let the leader know.

7. We often go out for group meals. In order to be fair to everyone, please pay for your drinks separately.

8. In order to attend our walks, you should be a member of the Ramblers Association. Details of how to join can be found at the end of the programme.

9. Please note that deposits for events or holidays/weekends away are non-refundable unless you can find someone to take your place. If you do find that you can no longer go on a holiday/weekend away, you must let the organiser know immediately.
