| Dear Visitor
The Ramblers Association (RA) relies on volunteers
for much of its work.
The good news is that working as a volunteer is fun
and we are very flexible.
RA groups need volunteers to organise their walking
and social programmes, to lead walks and sometimes to take part in
working parties clearing footpaths.
The Area needs officers to administer its
operations and to lobby the County Council and other Highway Authorities
on Rights of Way matters. We also have a network of volunteers who
monitor the 4,500 miles of rights of way in our Area.
Volunteers can work occasionally or regularly and
can choose the amount of time they give. All of our jobs can be shared
and divided according to the time you may have available and whatever
your skills and interests -practical, IT, clerical, administrative etc.
If you would like to see an example of the various volunteer
descriptions we are looking, please click

If you think you may be interested in volunteering
please telephone Peter Skipp the Area Chairman on 0208 857 0300 to
discuss the possibilities, or complete the following and email to us.
